Adult certificate in maths and English

Adults who have a need to improve their reading, writing and arithmetic, can study with Active Talk, utilising the Government funding that is available, and can sit the National Tests at Levels 1 and 2 in Adult Literacy and Entry Level 3, Level 1 and 2 in Numeracy equivalent to GCSE.

Learners study in Active Talk's well equipped City centre offices or remotely over the Internet from home or their workplace. Supported by qualified tutors the courses are self-paced, with individuals working at their own speed and at times that fit in with their particular life style. The learning provision is managed in a caring and confidential manner. The on-line tests are taken at Active Talk's learning centre, again at times to suit the learner.

A qualification in maths or English could fill a gap in a learner's CV or be a stepping stone to further qualifications. It also gives learners a qualification which employers will value and could lead to promotion at work. Employers can be confident that individuals who hold literacy and numeracy qualifications at both levels are competent to apply the skills covered in a variety of contexts.
